Donna Gordon founded Investment Resources in January 2001 to provide relevant information and fact-based data analysis so clients can make a well-informed decision. She utilizes her network of contacts and information sources to help businesses start, grow, expand, acquire, or just understand their market more clearly. Clients include businesses, associations, economic developers and consultants.
Prior to founding Investment Resources, Donna was managing director for Capital for Manufacturers (CFM) a professional finance advisory firm. Additionally, Donna performed financial analysis and due diligence for Capital for Entrepreneurs, a seed capital fund for minority-owned business that was sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation.
Wide ranging experiences and past projects serving a full range of business situations helps Donna truly understand the ever-changing business environment. Clients served range from early stage service businesses, to established growing manufacturers, to economic developers and professional associations.
In addition to Investment Resources activities, Donna led the Kansas City Manufacturing Network (KCMN) as Managing Director from 2008-2019. KCMN provided educational and networking opportunities to strengthen the region’s manufacturers and promoted manufacturing as a vital and growing part of the region’s economy.
Outside of business, Donna is committed to serving her community. Among her many roles, she was a Girl Scout leader for 11 years, served as the volunteer coordinator for the Lee’s Summit Sesquicentennial, chairs the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority and leads the Events Team for her church, St. Margaret of Scotland.
